“That is the building where they keep the live mummies”, I tried to explain to my nephew as we passed the Brooklyn Museum on our way to the Botanic Gardens. This was a ploy to scare him off because we were running late. But this only intrigued the boy all the more. His curiosity had gotten to the point where he wanted to go there instead of the gardens. And I could not blame him. The Brooklyn Museum building mysteriousness caused you to be inquisitive. It is difficult to interpret or explain the structure of the building. Especially with the new front additions to it. It is like old meets new. And that does not explain it either.
